Guy Strand Applications

Guy Strand wire rope is used in guying applications: towers, antenna, and other similar tall structures are secured by the strategic angled placement of the ropes from the structure to the ground. The EHS guy wire tension is what adds stability to the free-standing structure.  Our Guy Strand is most used in Trellis applications in the agricultural industry and commercial growers.

It has a high-strength, lightweight design with very little stretch. And the galvanized guy wire finish provides protection from corrosive elements over time. Oregon Wire’s Guy Strand meets ASTM A475, which is the standard specification for zinc-coated steel wire strands.
